Sequin Organization

Hi.  I am still working on organizing my scrap room
and I thought I would share what I'm using for sequin storage.

I found the individual containers at Michaels in the jewelry section
and the acrylic organizer at Muji.com.
(I waited for it to go on sale and got it at 50% off)

It has 5 drawers and each drawer can hold 24 individual containers.
(It can hold a total of 120 containers)

It's approx. 10" long x 6.5" high.

Embellishment Storage and Organization by Color

I've spent the last couple of days organizing my embellishments and thought I would share my system and some pictures.

Themed Embellishments:
My themed embellishments (such as holidays, summer, beach, etc..) stay together.  I have small baskets for each one.

New Paper Collections:
Whenever I get a new paper collection, those embellishments stay together until I have used up most of the paper.

Stored by Type:
Washi, Ribbon, Sequins, Enamel Dots, Bling

Stored by Color:
After I've used up most of the papers in a collection or kit, I divide up the leftover stickers and ephemera and organize them by color.

I also add any general non-themed supplies to the color drawers.

Each color drawer is then divided up into categories such as large pieces for layering, small/medium pieces, flowers, tags, labels, word stickers, flair, brads, etc...

The small boxes were made by:
1.  Cutting off the bottom of cereal and cracker boxes.
2.  Some were made from white cardstock.
3.  The grey boxes are drawer dividers from Ikea. (I don't think they sell them anymore)

The Scrap Room - Zion National Park

Hello.  Today I'm sharing my Two-Page "Recipe"

Each month the design team creates Two-Page Layouts
and subscribers receive the "Recipes Cards
with step-by-step instructions (and measurements) to
recreate the Double Page Layouts made by the design team.

For this layout I used the Good Vibes collection from Crate Paper.

I was lucky enough to visit Zion National Park last spring.
The desert was green and blooming. It was so beautiful.

I used the frame for my title and the rest of the embellishments
were cut from the patterned paper.

Sweet, Happy Baby - The ScrapRoom Kit Club

Hello again!

Today I have a layout featuring the "Romance"
collection from Simple Stories.

It's one (of the four) page kits in the
"Flavor of the Month" kit at the  The ScrapRoom.

These soft pink papers were perfect for some baby pictures I hadn't scrapped yet.

I really like how the pink stands out against the dark background paper.

To attach the paper clip hearts, I used an exacto knife to cut a small slit in the
paper and that allowed me to use the hearts in the middle of the paper

Still Sassy - The ScrapRoom Kit Club

Hi.  I’m here with another layout from the
Flavor of the Month kit at The ScrapRoom Kit Club.

For this page I used a collection from Photoplay Paper

This Vintage Girl collection reminds me of my Grandmother
(who turns 101) this month.

I really liked all of the patterns on each of the papers
so I wanted to use them all.

My "go to" formula is to use large amounts of the calmer, b-sides
of the papers for backgrounds and then add smaller doses
with the bolder patterned paper.

I finished up by making embellishment clusters with
the coordinating sticker sheet.

Subscribers to the "Flavors of the Month" kit receive a box with
four individual layout kits.

The kit contains enough paper and embellishments to complete
at least eight 12x12 scrapbook pages.

You also get "Recipe Cards" which are step-by-step instructions
(with measurements) to create four double page layouts.
